Plain-language summary. This Policy explains what personal information The Learning Academy collects, why it is used, when it may be shared, how long it is retained, and the choices available to you. We do not sell personal information. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and we do not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
This Privacy Policy applies to Prime Learning & Development, LLC, doing business as The Learning Academy (collectively, “The Learning Academy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and to personal information collected through primeld.learnworlds.com, its related subdomains, and the online courses, communications, and services made available through that site (collectively, the “Services”).
This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions and Cookie Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. Where consent is required by law, we will request it separately.
We collect personal information that you provide, information generated through your use of the Services, and limited information received from service providers. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
• Account and identity information, such as your name, username, password or authentication credentials, and account preferences.
• Contact and professional information, such as your email address, telephone number, organization, job title, or profession, when you choose to provide it.
• Enrollment and learning information, such as courses purchased or enrolled in, lesson activity, progress, assessment responses and scores, certificates, completion status, and course-related communications.
• Transaction information, such as the course purchased, transaction date, amount, currency, payment status, and limited billing details supplied by a payment processor. We do not receive or store your complete credit- or debit-card number.
• Communications and support information, including messages, survey responses, feedback, and information you provide when requesting support or contacting us.
• Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type and version, device or operating-system information, referring and exit pages, pages viewed, date and time of access, and actions taken within the Services.
• Cookie and similar-technology information, as described in our Cookie Policy and any cookie-preference tools presented on the site.
We do not intentionally request government identification numbers, financial account credentials, health information, biometric information, or other sensitive personal information through the Services. Please do not submit such information in open-text fields or messages.
• Directly from you when you create an account, enroll, purchase a course, complete course activities, subscribe to communications, respond to a survey, or contact us.
• Automatically through LearnWorlds and cookies or similar technologies when you use the site.
• From payment providers when they confirm or administer a transaction.
• From a sponsoring organization or course partner when it enrolls you or arranges access to a course, subject to its authority to provide the information.
•Create and administer accounts; authenticate users; and maintain session continuity.
• Process enrollments, purchases, refunds, and related transactions.
• Deliver courses and learning materials; record progress; administer assessments; and issue completion records or certificates.
•Respond to questions, provide support, and send service-related notices.
• Operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services, including preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Analyze aggregate or deidentified usage and course-performance trends to improve content and user experience.
• Send newsletters, course announcements, or promotional communications where you have requested them or where otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
• Comply with legal obligations; enforce our agreements; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and protect the rights, safety, and property of users, The Learning Academy, and others.
We collect and use personal information only for legitimate business and legal purposes, including providing the Services you request, processing transactions, operating and securing the Services, communicating with you, complying with legal obligations, and obtaining consent where required by applicable law.
We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to:
• LearnWorlds, which hosts and supports the learning-management platform and related site functions.
• Payment providers, including PayPal and any payment provider added in the future (such as Stripe), to process and administer transactions, prevent fraud, and address payment disputes.
• Vendors that provide services such as hosting, communications, analytics, security, technical support, accounting, or professional advice, subject to appropriate contractual or legal restrictions.
• Course partners, instructors, or sponsoring organizations when necessary to deliver or administer a course, provide support, verify enrollment or completion, or fulfill an arrangement you or the sponsoring organization requested. Where practical, the course page or enrollment process will identify the relevant partner.
• Government authorities, courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other parties when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights, safety, or the integrity of the Services.
• A purchaser, successor, or other relevant party in connection with a proposed or completed merger, financing, reorganization, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required choices before the change applies.
Payments are processed through third-party payment
providers. When you make a payment, you provide payment information directly to
the selected provider, and its privacy policy governs its processing. We
generally receive transaction confirmations and limited billing or account
information needed to complete the purchase, maintain records, process refunds,
and respond to disputes. We do not control a payment provider’s independent
privacy practices.
The Services use necessary cookies and may use preference,
functionality, or analytics technologies. Where required, nonessential
technologies will be used in accordance with the choices presented through the

We retain personal information only for as long as
reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including
providing course access and completion records, maintaining business and tax
records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting security, and

information, the nature of our relationship, legal requirements, and whether
the information is needed for an active account or legitimate business purpose.
When information is no longer required, we will delete it, anonymize it, or
securely isolate it until deletion is feasible.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and
organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against
unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of
transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee
absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of

you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a
portable copy of your personal information; object to or restrict certain

IThe Learning Academy is based in South Carolina, United States, and the Services are operated using providers that may process information in the United States or other countries. Those countries may have privacy laws different from those where you live. Where required, we and our providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers. Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland may contact us to exercise applicable rights and may lodge a complaint with their local data-protection authority.
The Services are intended for adults and professional learners who are at least 18 years old. Individuals under 18 may not create an account, purchase a course, or use the Services without the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian or, where applicable, an authorized school, employer, or sponsoring organization.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Services without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
